Washington, D.C. - Capitol Advantage announces the appointment of Sherry Stanley Whitworth as the new Chief Executive Officer. As Capitol Advantage's first female CEO, she will act in this role to oversee governance and innovation for all company operations. She has been with the company since 1988 and was instrumental in helping the company grow from a small publishing company into the nation's largest publisher of congressional directories and leading provider of Internet tools for congressional communications and civic participation.

In the expanding roles that Sherry held at Capitol Advantage, she mainly concentrated on promoting products and services specifically designed to increase the effectiveness of grassroots advocacy at state and federal levels. She has assisted in the successful integration of the company's flagship tool, Capwiz·XC™, for more than 1,500 organization Web sites, including the Web's three most trafficked sites - AOL, Yahoo!, and MSN. Other powerful advocacy organizations that utilize Capwiz·XC include AARP, American Cancer Society, Disabled American Veterans, Lockheed-Martin, National Corn Growers, National Restaurant Association, and University of MD Systems.

Most recently, Sherry served as Capitol Advantage's Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, orchestrating the sales and marketing departments' efforts. She has contributed both vision and extensive experience to develop a fresh marketing scope that will continually add to the company's growth in the marketplace.
